CREDENTIALS
The PNA Credentials Committee, as authorized by the Church of God General Assembly, credentials PNA churches and pastors on an annual basis. It also equips, develops, and ordains individuals wishing to work in vocational ministry as an ordained Church of God pastor. In addition, the Credentials Committee assists congregations when searching for a pastor or in times of conflict and crisis. Not just a credentialing body, the PNA Credentials Committee is a valuable resource for both church and pastoral health.
Currently, the committee operates under the revised 2023 Credentials Manual. The manual, along with its Spanish version, can be accessed through your Atlas account. Please contact the PNA Office for additional assistance.
The 2025 credentialing window opens on April 23 when churches and pastors submit their annual reports. The committee reviews all the reports in June and July and then compiles the credentialed pastors and churches lists for presentation to the PNA Board in August. Once reviewed by the Board, the lists are presented to all licensed and ordained pastors for their ratification the end of August. Once approved, the lists are then submitted to the Church of God Ministries offices in Anderson, Indiana for documentation and reference. The credentialing window will close on May 23 when credentialing forms will no longer be available.
