Thanksgiving Offering 2009

The Pacific Northwest Association is a network of 50 churches across Washington, northern Idaho, and northeastern Oregon. Together we work to strengthen churches and leaders in order that they will better carry out God's mission in the world, transforming individuals and communities through the Good News of Jesus Christ.

This year you are invited to participate in a special Thanksgiving Offering for the cooperative work of the PNA. Your gifts, in gratitude of God’s grace and goodness, will support our budget for the many ministries and services we provide.

The PNA is involved in a number of ministries that support our churches and leaders. And, there are plans to enhance and expand these in the future. Here are some examples of what we are doing through your support:

Church Planting

In the last three years God has opened up numerous doors for new congregations to be launched in our district, including Roosevelt Community Church in Bellingham, Washington; Origins Faith Community in Ontario, Oregon; and Iglesia Nuevo Impacto in Yakima, Washington. This fall we also saw the launch of Voyage in Silverdale, Washington. And, we have just brought on a church planter, Michael Reynolds, for the establishment of a new church north of Seattle in Snohomish County.

Double K

Double K Christian Retreat Center is our camp nestled in the Cascade mountains near Easton, Washington. In addition to various PNA camps and retreats the facility is also available for our churches to rent at discounted rates for their own events. Under the leadership of new Director Charlie Brown, Double K is excited about new opportunities for the future.

SHAPE

Sustaining Health And Pastoral Excellence is a three-year, intensive cluster experience for ministers designed to increase ministry effectiveness, sustain the whole person, and guide their enhanced growth as a pastor, person and family member.

NEW INITIATIVES

The PNA is committed to strengthen churches and leaders, and we are currently developing several new initiatives to help our churches become healthier and more effective in their ministries; and to support pastors and other church leaders as they inspire and direct their congregations.

PNA churches are invited to participate in this important offering on Sunday, November 22nd. Contributions may also be sent directly to:

Pacific Northwest Association of the Church of God
3806 W Nob Hill Blvd, Suite 104
Yakima, WA 98902

Individuals may give through their local church or by submitting on our Individual Giving Form.
