Thanksgiving Offering 2011

The Pacific Northwest Association is a network of 49 churches across Washington, northern Idaho, and northeastern Oregon. Together we work to strengthen churches and leaders in order that they will better carry out God's mission in the world, transforming individuals and communities through the Good News of Jesus Christ.

This year you are invited to participate in a special Thanksgiving Offering for the cooperative work of the PNA. Your gifts, in gratitude of God’s grace and goodness, will support our budget for the many ministries and services we provide.

The PNA is involved in a number of ministries that support our churches and leaders. Together we are Partners in Mission. The local church is the center for ministry, as it is here that people are discipled and equipped to share the message of Jesus. The PNA partners with congregations by providing a number of services and programs that can strengthen ministry. Here are some examples of what we are doing through your support:

Church Planting

In the last five years five new congregations have been planted in our district, most of which have been supported by the PNA. Our most recent church plants inlude Voyage in Bremerton, Washington, and Hillside Church in Marysville, Washington. In addition, this past year we led in the re-start of our church in Sunnyside, Washington: Oasis Community Church.

Ministries to churches

The PNA has been developing several initiatives to help our churches become healthier and more effective in their ministries. This includes specialized consulting services for churches in pastoral transition and seeking to sharpen their organizational capacity and outreach.

Ministries to LEADERS

The PNA is committed to support pastors and other church leaders as they inspire and direct their congregations. This includes credentialing services, SHAPE (Sustaining Health and Pastoral Excellence), conferences, retreats, and various fellowship opportunities.

CAMPING

Through our camp, Double K Christian Retreat Center, the PNA offers various summer programs and retreats, including Climb, our annual camp and conference in July. New for 2012: Double K will be hosting a Junior High camp!

PNA churches are invited to participate in this important offering on Sunday, November 20th. Contributions may also be sent directly to:
