AJohn Johnsonbout John Johnson:

With over 22 years of cross-cultural teaching experience, John has served as both a missionary and missionary administrator with Global Missions of the Church of God, Anderson, Indiana from 1985-2003. He and his wife Gwen ministered in South Korea, Egypt, Lebanon, and Asia-Pacific while living on the island of Guam. While in Lebanon John served as the academic dean and then president of the Mediterranean Bible College. Presently John and Gwen attend the Mt. Scott Church of God. John’s greatest joys are teaching, preaching, and discipling.

John and his wife Gwen are presently working to reignite a strong and compelling missions emphasis on the Warner Pacific campus.  John has been instrumental in establishing a Missions Minor on campus and efforts are well underway for the introduction of a Cross-Cultural Ministries major in the near future.  Also the Johnsons are actively engaged in establishing “Missions@WP”, a program that provides WPC students opportunities to cross cultural boundaries to serve, love, learn, experience, and grow.  John has just returned with three students from a trip to Bangladesh and India.

I am thrilled to be a part of the Warner Pacific community. Before every class I develop and teach, I intentionally ask the question: “How will my students look more like Christ as a result our time together?” A good education is available in many places within the US and the world. A quality Christian liberal arts education is offered here. I deeply desire to be involved in forming my students to look and act like Jesus. It is such students that will transform this world.
